With a wide variety of outdoorists getting out there – hikers, snowshoers, skiers, climbers, and more – the snowy backcountry can sometimes feel like a free-for-all. But we can’t forget we’re all out there for the same reasons. So practice courtesy and respect toward other visitors. For example, when possible, avoid hiking or post-holing on the snowshoe track or skiers' skin track. Otherwise, share the trail. And when you stop for a break, move off the trail. Give downhill traffic the right-of-way, especially around blind turns. All in all, spread the stoke! @scott_kranz

All users, human powered and motorized, are in the backcountry for the same reasons. We should all respect one another, look out for one another, and work together to preserve and steward the lands for ALL types of backcountry access. #backcountryunited
