#FriezeArtFair: Chris Burden's "Sex Tower (Architectural Model of 125 foot high Sex Tower)," is now on view in our booth at Frieze Los Angeles.

In 1986, Burden created this work, an impressive, approximately eleven-foot high sculpture meant as a maquette for a massive outdoor tower. Given that the full-scale work was never realized, this model is particularly exceptional within Burden’s diverse body of artistic production. The structure is comprised of four wooden legs that are topped with an enigmatic sculpture in which a cylindrical ring is set around an elongated pyramidal form, both covered in gold leaf.
