Before being terminated from his role in September, Gene Levoff — Apple’s former senior director of corporate law and corporate secretary — was responsible for Apple’s compliance with securities laws.

Now he’s being charged by the SEC with insider trading.

According to an SEC complaint, Levoff "traded on material nonpublic information about Apple's earnings three times during 2015 and 2016.” His insider access onetime helped him avoid losses of approximately $382,000, the suit alleges.
