[ My approach to eating ] If you have followed me for a while, you would know that eat a healthy balanced diet. I do not “diet”, as in - I’ve never been on a diet to lose or gain weight. I do not count calories. Long story short, I believe food should make you happy, it should be used to bring people together and you should never be “scared” of your food. Every week I include, seasonal fruits, home grown vegetables, milk (in coffee) pasta, bread, rice, meat, seafood, lots of olive oil, lemon juice. It’s not always the foods that you eat that are unhealthy- it’s sometimes HOW you eat the foods that make them unhealthy. Pasta is NOT always unhealthy... but if you tip cream and processed meats on top, you’ve made it an unhealthy meal. BREAD is NOT unhealthy, but if you put a chocolate spread on it, you’ve made it an unhealthy meal. A lot of foods that women are “scared” of eating are not scary at all. You CAN have bread, you CAN have pasta and you CAN have rice. You CAN eat fruits and you can use olive oil. Instead of eliminating things from your diet, try ADDING in healthy things into your diet. You need to make sure your body has all its macro and MICRO nutrients too. This means all it’s vitamins and minerals. Living off protein and broccoli is not sustainable for you OR your body.
