Averting traffic is all fun and games until somebody gets hurt.
While Waze (which is owned by Google) is great for commuters, it makes it harder for the police to catch speeders or drunk drivers.
In a letter to Google, the NYPD called alerting drivers for sobriety check points “irresponsible” and has demanded that the function be disabled.
