Democrats Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Sen. Edward Markey just unveiled a massive Green New Deal plan, which aims for the U.S. to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2030.

The plan, which is co-sponsored by 60 members of Congress and 9 senators, is ambitious. It’s seeking to remake the U.S. economy and drastically reduce emissions.

So what are the two Democrats proposing? - Generating 100% of the nation’s power from renewable sources. - Making all buildings energy efficient. - Eliminating carbon dioxide from the transportation industry.
