グッゲンハイム美術館のインスタグラム(guggenheim) - 2月6日 05時38分
On April 11, 1981, for one day only, the floor of the rotunda was painted to resemble a roulette wheel. #DarrylSapien's performance "American Roulette" (1981) used the casino game as a metaphor for the risks and compromises involved in balancing personal and professional desires. Actors and audience members placed wagers at a central table, and where the ball fell determined the placement of two fictional "couples" who enacted aspects of their romantic relationships based on their position along the painted spiral.

Since opening in 1959, our Frank Lloyd Wright-designed museum has served as inspiration for invention, challenging artists and architects to react to its eccentric, organic design. Follow #Guggenheim60 to discover more artist interventions during our 60th anniversary year!
