In Davos, American business leaders heard time and time again how quickly they were falling behind their Chinese peers. Especially when it comes to A.I.

Although most U.S. companies now have pilot projects using AI, their Chinese comrades are already scaling their initiatives. In a PwC poll, 25% of Chinese executives reported they had utilized AI broadly compared to just 5% of American executives. President Xi has even declared a sort of space race around the technology – and it is already delivering measurable results.
