If there is anybody who shatters the myth of a poet as a solitary figure, it’s Tracy K. Smith. Tracy, who is serving her second term as the United States #poet laureate, has traveled the country as an evangelist for her medium, holding readings and workshops in small towns, schools and juvenile detention centers. Tracy has published 4 volumes of #poetry, including the Pulitzer Prize-winning “Life on Mars.” She has written 2 opera librettos, one of which was commissioned by the @cincinnatiopera. She is also a professor of creative writing at @princeton and has a weekday podcast featuring poems that speak to contemporary issues.
