Photo by @amivitale | Sakakei Naiptari moves his cows out of the boma before they milk them and take them out for grazing at Loisaba Conservancy (@loisaba_conservancy) in Laikipia in northern Kenya. He is one of many neighboring pastoralists who are participating in a cattle program. The cows are first grazed on conservancy land and then sold to cattle markets for higher profits. The earnings are used for wildlife conservation and community projects. Loisaba is an important habitat for more than 260 bird and 57 mammal species, and it is an important elephant corridor.
