Shigakogen Roman Museum―a mysterious forest by Kisho Kurokawa
(Yamanouchi Town)

The Shigakogen Roman Museum was opened in commemoration of the 1998 Winter Olympic Games held in Nagano.

It was designed by Mr. Kisho Kurokawa, a leading Japanese architect, with the theme of “coexistence with nature.”

In the museum, you can see a display of beautiful, mysterious cones which evoke the forests of Shiga Kogen.
