NY indulge. Happy 2019, folks!!! And as a new year gift I have for you the recipe for my favorite apple fritters:

1,5 cup of all purpose flour
1 T of vanilla sugar
1 t salt
1 t of baking powder
1 cup of milk
1 egg
1 egg yolk
2 T of butter (melted)
5 apples
Canola oil for frying
Confection sugar for dusting ?

Place flour, sugar, salt and baking powder in a bowl, stir gently. Make a well in a center and add half of the milk, start mixing with a balloon whisker and slowly incorporate flour with milk (adding milk in parts will prevent lumps in butter). Add rest of the milk, egg, yolk and melted butter and stir vigorously. The batter should be thick as sour cream or yoghurt. Set aside and let it rest.
Prepare apples. Cut them in four, get rid of the core and cut them into very thin slices. Add them into the batter and stir couple of times, so slices got coated with batter and break a little bit. Set aside.

Pour oil onto the pan, 1cm high. Heat it on the medium flame. When it’s hot enough (drop a dollop of butter to see if it’s sizzling) place one tablespoon of apple fritters batter, arrange it nicely and fry gold both sides. Transfer to kitchen towel so it could soaked oil excess. Dust with powdered sugar while they’re still hot. Eat them immediately while they still hot, you will thank me later ?
