I began noticing that I was valuing my worth off of what others would say about me or how I thought people would view me. Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s important to have people in your life who can be honest with you to help you become the best person you can be, but I was letting social media and others around me define my happiness. I knew I had to change the way I was living. I needed to love myself no matter what others said and I needed to have a more positive outlook on my life. I wanted to start acknowledging the positive in myself, in everyone around me and in every situation that I went through. I’ve been exercising these practices and slowly they have become more second nature. Through them I have found so much more peace, patience and joy. I’ve learned to forgive myself and to forgive others. I’ve stopped apologizing for being myself and I’ve let others be who they want to be too. This year flew by but it has been an incredibly important year for personal growth. I hope 2018 was a year of accomplishment for you as well.
