Ready to dive into the new year like ???? Reflecting on a few months back, I was invited to join this inspiring bunch to learn about #climatechange at the Heron Island research station where this beautiful oceanic moment titled ‘Endangered’ was captured by @tamaradean.
Her important work reminds us how humanity and nature are intrinsically entwined. She suggest the notion that we too are ‘mammals in a sensitive eco-system, as vulnerable to the same forces of #climatechange as every other living creature. The difference being that the power and responsibility lies with us.’ ?

Thank you @theclimatecouncil for shedding light on the extremely confronting realities we could face if we relegate real action on #climatechange now. ? ‘Biologists predict that if we continue carrying on the way we are then by the end of this century 50% of species living today will face extinction. And humans are not immune. To see ourselves as different and separate to the ecology and ecosystem of our planet is leaving humanity unprepared for the world we are currently destroying.’ Complete series of @tamaradean work will be exhibited in late 2019.
