A passion for music launched Laura Brady (@laurabrady_mua) into the makeup world. “When I was 12, I started listening to a lot of rock and metal music,” says Laura, now 30. “Makeup is a huge factor in creating an image for many rock and metal bands, and this influenced me to start experimenting with different looks on myself.”
For the past 11 years, Laura has worked as a makeup artist in Dublin, Ireland. Her advice to aspiring artists who’d like to follow a similar path? “Never be afraid to try something new. Even if the outcome wasn’t what you wanted, you can always wash it off! Take photographs of everything you do. You don’t have to share them with the world, but they will give you a good indication of your progress over time. Learn from your mistakes and most importantly, have fun!”
