My heart summed up in a photo ❤️ My proudest accomplishment will always be the joy of having my own little family. It’s hard to believe that just 3 years ago getting married and having a baby was simply a fantasy. Not going to be a reality for me. Why? Because at that time in my life the reality was if I married Stevie I was going to risk everything and ultimately lose my family. I would be disowned by my parents - who I love more than anything for marrying a man outside of my culture. The challenge was this: Will I trust the plan others have for my life OR will I trust the plan and purpose God has for my life. Not knowing the outcome of either choice (except for the fact that I would be disowned if I married Stevie) I had to make a decision. Deep down inside I knew the easier path scenario was never going to be the path for me. The weight of my decision was so heavy but I had to do what felt right. The only way through it was jumping into God’s hands and trusting His plan for my life. In just 3 shorts years I’ve seen the miracle of God and how faithful He has been! I am a testament to the fact that when you trust Him 100% in whatever challenges you face - He will bless you ten fold. I was disowned by my parents and wondered if I would ever see them again but it was shortly after I got married when God brought them back into my life and made our family so much stronger! I am so happy I trusted God with my life and that I can share my testimony with you. He rescued me and drowned my fears in His perfect love. There was a moment during Valentina’s birthday party yesterday when I began to remember all He did for me and continues to do. I’m fighting back the tears just looking at this photo because the life and love you see here is the product of a miracle that came from conquering my greatest challenge and fear. What if I never married Stevie and chose the easier path? It pains me to say it but - Teeny wouldn’t be here. And that just doesn’t feel right.
