Crossed the Adige River from Ponte Pietra to visit Complesso della Cattedrale-Duomo and unexpectedly greeted by this melancholic angel: a modern art piece from 2015 by Albano Poni. He stands at the entrance of the cathedral. I liked the feeling I got on entering the Cathedral. There is something about high and beautifully rounded ceilings and midday sunlight pouring in from the transparent designed stained glass windows that puts me in a state of awe. This cathedral made me want to sit down and realign myself and be silent for a while. #verona #angelstatue #duomodiverona
