Spot the differences? Our Ruby Slippers don’t match. More than one pair was made for the 1939 movie and our shoes—both size five—have some subtle differences.
They’re commercial shoes covered with sequins sewn onto fabric. Our conservators have cleaned every single sequin, gently re-aligning some to reveal the more reflective side, and the #WizardOfOz shoes are ready to return to display on Friday, October 19.
