Starting next year, the Indians will remove his likeness from player uniforms and elsewhere in Progressive Field, though they will continue to sell Wahoo merchandise and memorabilia in their stores. This fan — watching a game against the Chicago Cubs back in April — is wearing a vintage jacket with a version of the Wahoo logo from the 1940s. The current iteration is just as much of a racist caricature: complete with tomato-red skin, an exaggerated hooked nose, and cartoonish grin.
