Welcome to one of the most impressive maison d’hôtes: La Divine Comédie, a former cardinals’ residence in Avignon that took more years (7 to be exact) than its new owners ever imagined. But, as they say, beauty is pain and there isn’t a single detail unaccounted for. It’s charming, insanely chic and super cozy.
Not to mention Theodule who stole my heart upon arrival.
Without Palais des Papes’ towers cascading behind the garden walls it would be difficult to remember that Avignon is just outside the gate.
