First Lady Melania Trump (@flotus) visited the #pyramids and the Great Sphinx in Egypt on Oct. 6, as she wrapped up a four-country tour of Africa. During the stop in Giza, in part to highlight American-backed preservation efforts, Trump told reporters that she makes her opinions clear to her husband, President Donald Trump. "I don't always agree what he tweets," she said in a rare and unscripted interaction with journalists, the Associated Press reports. "And I tell him that. I give him my honest opinion and honest advice. And sometimes he listens and sometimes he doesn't. But I have my own voice and my opinions and it's very important for me that I express what I feel." Trump called her tour to Ghana, Malawi, Kenya and Egypt "amazing" and said she hoped people would talk more about her visit and less about her #fashion choices. In reference to the reports that President Trump has used a vulgar term to describe African countries, the First Lady said she had never heard him "saying those comments."
