中目黒といえば川沿いのヒップな店を想像する人が多いはず。
でも最近は、南口側の目黒銀座商店街に面白いショップができている。早速商店街を入り5分も歩かないうちに、一見柄の悪そうな男たちが軒先でくつろぐ姿に遭遇する。
ここはアメリカのトラッドスタイルを踏襲するバーバーショップなのだ。中目黒に進出して早2年。徐々に商店街でも市民権を獲得しているようだ。「10代から70代までリピーターがいらっしゃいます」とはスタイリストの山川博貴さん。
昔ながらの店も少なくないエリアだが「最初は怖がられましたが、徐々に受け入れたっぽいす。
毎日挨拶していれば、変な誤解は解けますね（笑）」とも。恐れずにまずは足を運んでみるべし。

MR. BROTHERS CUT CLUB / When you think of Nakameguro, many would imagine the hip stores along river side. But recently, many interesting stores are forming at the Nakameguro Ginza Shopping Arcade on south side. Within five minutes of walking into the arcade, you’ll come across what seemingly is a bunch of louts relaxing in front of the store. This is a barber shop following America’s traditional styles. It’s already been two years since their advancement into Nakameguro. It seems that they are gradually gaining their recognition in the arcade. “We have repeat customers ranging from teens to 70s” says the stylist Mr. Hirotaka Yamakawa. Even though the area has less traditional stores, he also says “I think people feared us in the beginning, but seems like they gradually took us in. As long as I greet them every day, I could dispel their misunderstanding (laughs).” Do not fear and why not visit them.
