センター街を抜けた先に見える渋谷ノアビル。その3階にFASHION&MUSICの店「BOY（ボーイ）」はある。オーナーの奥冨直人さんは10代の頃、ストリートスナップの常連でファッション誌を飾っていた。そんな彼はお店づくりを通じての発信の楽しさに行き着いた。ノアビルでお店を構えて早4年。「このエリアは商店街もあるし、ローカル的。このエリアは僕が救われた文化が僅かだけど残っているので、伝え続けていきたい」とのこと。最近ではスタイリングにDJに、全国を飛び回る日々。当時とはまた違う形で露出も増えており、「外の活動から知ってもらって遊びに来てもらえるケースも増えた」と語る。情熱を持って発信し続ける彼に会いに行こう。

BOY / NOA Shibuya building can be seen past the Shibuya Center Gai. Fashion and music store “BOY” is located on its third floor. In his teens, the owner Mr. Naoto Okutomi was a regular in fashion magazine’s street photos. Through store building, he has found joy in sending out the message. It’s been four years since opening the store in NOA building. He says “This area has shopping arcade and is localized. Though it may not be much, this area still has the culture that saved me, so I would like to continue conveying this culture.” Nowadays, he is busy traveling all over Japan conducting fashion styling and DJ’ing. Due to the different form of exposures than before, he says “There has been an increase in customers that got to know this store from other activities that I do.” Let’s go meet the owner who keeps on sending out the message passionately.
