As part of our ongoing effort to ensure that the next generation of museum professionals reflects the growing diversity of museum audiences, this summer we partnered with @Citi Foundation to offer ten new paid full-time fellowships, many in partnership with Historically Black Colleges and Universities. We also launched collaborations with other colleges around the country, including Stanford and CUNY. Through these partnerships, 37 bright students from around the country got hands-on experience within various departments of the Museum, met with our leadership teams, and visited other institutions around the city. After a summer filled with professional experiences and building connections in the arts, this week we say goodbye and best of luck to this wonderful 2018 cohort of #BKMInterns and #BKMFellows.
