The eyes of this blunt headed tree (Imantodes cenchoa) snake make up approximately 25 percent of its head! To give you a rough idea of what it would be like for you to have eyes that large, hold a coaster up to your face. Wild, right? You might also notice the pupils resemble the pupils of a cat: they are vertical slits. This adaptation means blunt headed tree snakes are capable of hunting both day and night, though it is more common to find them moving at night as we did with this one. #snakesofinstagram #snake #snek #serpent
