Bonnie- our latest #NGSD #rescue
We heard about Bonnie thru our #Singer Community, as she was listed on #Craigslist for sale ?
Our group quickly activated, with our Rescue Specialist, Victoria and collaborator Gayle aggressively researching and finding out who this singer girl was and where can we place her. We set up@some fundraising and we’re thrilled that we secured the funds to purchase her from the this lady (who appears to be a breeder). We found a placement for her with @shy_wolf_sanctuary, who also has another rescue we were a part of... .
We required a health cert and confirmation she didn’t have any health issues- although her nails were atrocious!!! .
Well, Victoria and Matt went to pick her up yesterday and the poor little girl is a mess!!! Her front teeth are just gone and the ones remaining are rotten!!! She has a horrible mouth infection, a temperature, and was throwing up. She also wouldn’t walk!!! Matt drove through thunderstorms over 11 hours to bring her to his vet. At 1 am she was evaluated and treatment started for her fever and infection... but now we need your help to pay for her vet bills!! They are estimated to be over $3000 and as a non-profit, we just don’t have the funds. Her new home has agreed to accept her and have her seen by their vet!! BUT- we are all responsible for Bonnie and all the Bonnie’s out there.
