Samantha Wills Pty Ltd - Circa 2004 in my dining room in a flat just off Anzac Pde in Kensington, Sydney. This was where I as a 22 year old designed and manufactured every single piece, + did all the invoicing and sales catalogue mailouts and accounts receivable and all furniture was from a Fantastic Furniture package. ⠀

When the phone would ring I would answer it like a receptionist of a large corporation “Good morning, Samantha Wills Designs!” and when the caller would ask to speak to the sales department, I didn’t want them to think they were dealing with a kid at a desk, so I would ask them to “please hold” while I walked 3 steps to the kitchen put the jug on and plugged in the jaffel maker for lunch, walk back and pick up the phone and in a slightly different voice say, “sales department, Renee speaking, how can I help you?”
