The Fushimi Floating Lanterns are one of the summer attractions in Fushimi, Kyoto. Since 2004, this event has been held on a Saturday in early August along a tributary of the Uji River (from in front of the Teradaya Inn to the Gekkeikan Okura Sake Museum). This photo was taken last August 4.
