The vicinity of Shijo Street becomes the most crowded during the three days of the yoiyama (festival eve) of the Gion Festival. Three floats feature Komagata lanterns decorated with Gekkeikan’s logo: the Kanko-hoko to the west of Karasuma Street,the Naginata-hoko to the east of the same street, and the Kikusui-hoko in Muromachi Street.
