Photodocumentation is an important step in the conservation treatment of an object. Conservators must learn techniques to take accurate, color-corrected images of the objects they are treating. These images are helpful for understanding any changes an object may acquire throughout time, and better evaluate what may have caused those changes. Here conservator Kate Wight Tyler prepares to take “before treatment” photos of a Ceiling Light by #VictorGruen, so that we can have accurate record of its condition before it undergoes treatment. #BKMConservation⠀
