We’ve been somewhere in-between this past year.
It’s as simple as that.
It’s not a complaint, it’s an observation that has driven us to seek new-old solutions through near-daily conversation.
To remember what started any of this.
We’ve been on this journey for four and a half years. It’s nothing new. Yet our path hasn’t been a straightforward one.
Most travelers don’t have tidy and narrow paths anyway, but ours has been seemingly even further wayward, and with plenty of stumbling and roadblocks and cliffs to dive headfirst from.
When we talk about our next, when we sit down and muddle through why we feel something is missing, when we write out options, we quickly dismiss all the modern worldly measures of success that involve hours that keep us from the things that matter - one another. Ourselves.
I don’t know whose RV this was. It was parked next to us at Camping World, waiting for service. It was old and simple and a little shoddy.
And then this sign.
They knew what mattered.
A handmade sign, titled with stamped lettering. States colored in with markers. Sunbathed over time, a little worn around the edges, rich with color, tired but full up to the brim.
Travelers.
