Norikura-tatamidaira (approximate elevation 2,700m or 8,858ft) on Mt. Norikura (elevation 3,026m or 9,928 ft) is a place where large colonies of alpine plants, such as the Anemone narcissiflora and the Japanese black fritillary, grow into colorful flower fields from July to the beginning of August.
Norikura-tatamidaira can be reached by shuttle bus (public transportation), so even those who don't prefer mountain climbing can easily visit these flower fields in the sky.
