Pulsatilla nipponica is the first flower to bloom after the snow melts. In Honshu, the plant inhabits only certain parts of Mt. Shirouma and the Yatsugatake Mountains. They bloom during the rainy season on Mt. Shirouma, so people who are able to catch sight of them on sunny days are very lucky
