Today's #AllTooHumanInspired artist is @sally_hewett: 'All the artists in the #AllTooHuman exhibition seem to be celebrating something about being human, being flesh and blood and everything that goes with that – both good and bad. Stanley Spencer’s Nude Portrait of Patricia Preece is unsettling partly because it shows her body as it is with no attempt to pretty it up or disguise it. I made these eyelid pieces after reading about girls having surgery on their eyelids to remove visible veins. I’m quite old so probably the least of my worries would be visible veins on my eyelids, but I thought it something of a tragedy that something so delicate and beautiful as the patterning of veins on eyelids should be thought of as something that should be ‘sorted’. So these pieces are a celebration of veiny eyelids!' - Sally Hewett
