#WorkoftheWeek: 'The Little Tea Party' is a double portrait of artist Nina Hamnett and her husband. Hamnett is now best remembered as the ‘Queen’ of bohemian London. A well-known character in the pubs of Fitzrovia, she'd swap stories and anecdotes for a drinks from fellow bohemians. Sickert’s letters to Hamnet contain warnings against squandering her energy on parties instead of painting.
