Last night was possibly my favourite night I’ve had on this earth. As a global ambassador of @warchilduk I put on my first fundraising event ever last night. It was such an incredible success and surpassed all of our expectations!! It was a night of jazz and intimate performances in the historic and legendary @officialronnies - I am still floating and I am eternally grateful to all the performers and friends who came down in support of War Child. WE RAISED £434k!! Which was more than I had ever dreamed of. Thank you so much @ジェームズ・ベイ @brandicarlile @lauramvula @ianshawjazz @gregoryportermusic @santandave @palomafaith @lasharvu @itsreubenjames and his incredible quartet, Marcus Mumford. I can’t wait to do this again next year. I love you all. Sometimes I lose faith in the world & the lack of kindness I see all around me. But last night I am FULL to the brim & I know people are kind. People are good x p.s. I didn’t give him credit last night, but @flynnagin11 actually came up with the title ‘MAY IN THE RAIN’ which is inspired by Sarah Vaughan’s song ‘SEPTEMBER IN THE RAIN’ smashed it boo.
