Today I sat in my parents closet (cause it was the quietest place with a 2 year old and I had phone interviews for my upcoming trip to Sweden), and I sat answering questions about worship leading, Jesus, why is worship important to me, why do I love leading people in worship and all the beautiful questions. And almost every answer that I was giving I realized was coming from a place deep in my soul- that was cultivated from a young age. A young age of growing up in a home where my parents taught me so very much. Cause when I was young I would sit in MY closet inside their home (because yet again it was the quietest and most private spot I could find in my house with 2 younger siblings), and I would have my guitar and I would open my bible and just sing and worship the Lord. And as I sat in their closet, sitting by their shoes I wanted to thank them: Mom and dad—Thank you for helping me cultivate a relationship with Jesus and the Holy Spirit. You gave me space to learn who He is. You answered all my questions and helped me learn to hear His voice. You put me in places where I had space to spread my wings and learn to use my gifts- I’m so incredibly grateful for you being my parents. You two are incredible leaders. You’re always amazing stewards wherever God places you. You listen, you love, you wait, you move, you dance, you sing, you worship, you pray, you care, you instruct, you do what it takes and I’m so very grateful for your impact in my life. • And Happy Late Mother’s Day to you mom- I want to be like you when I grow up. (And I also want your new shoes you got cause I’ve been staring at them for an hour ?) • “How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, “Your God reigns!” (Isaiah 52:7) @sandyjobe @papajobe
