Hey everyone, I just wanted to post this in tribute to a true Halestorm freak, D. Brian Young. He had been coming to our shows for years and years, since way back when no one had really heard of us. He has recently passed away. But even though he is no longer with us, we will carry his torch for rock n roll and honor his fervor for what this genre truly stands for. His best friend brought us hats in tribute to Brian, and I represented him on our stage last night. It’s in these moments that I am reminded of how powerful music is, how it is so much more than just enjoying a song or a show...for some, I’d like to say most of us, it is, as Brian put it, “The very pulse of life itself”.
Rest In Peace D. Brian Young, we will never forget you, thank you for being a part of our journey. See you on the other side. Love, your friends in Halestorm. P.S. I hope Brian knows how much it means to US that we meant that much to him that he’d request our logo etched onto his headstone. We are with you always.
