Photo by @florianschulzvisuals // As the ice begins to thaw, a huge male polar bear investigates the backbone of a fin whale. The carcass has been providing food for many bears the previous summer. This image was the opener of my first National Geographic story a few years back. I spent many months following polar bears in different corners of the Arctic. My name is Florian Schulz and I am excited to now be sharing my work with you on @ナショナルジオグラフィック . My photography and film work mainly focuses on the large interconnected wilderness areas that remain on our globe. My greatest passion are long-term documentary projects, where I can immerse myself into the wild and get a true understanding of a place and its wildlife. Please follow me @florianschulzvisuals to see more images from the magical wild side of our planet. #polarbear #svalbard #wildlifephotography #florianschulzphotography #arctic
