Follow photographer @argonautphoto (Aaron Huey) today in our Instagram Story, he’s on assignment in what was formerly #BearsEarsNationalMonument, Utah. Today he is photographing one of hundreds of intact granaries used to store corn and other dwellings from the Ancestral Puebloans (AD 900-1280) on Cedar Mesa, home to tens of thousands of archaeological sites. We are looking at areas like Cedar Mesa which were recently cut out of the Monument by Executive Order, and we are hearing stories from communities on both sides of the battle over this land, it’s natural resources, and it’s sacred sites.
