We live in a very suburban area. To be honest it’s not my ideal but at the same token I’m extremely grateful for our home and that it is in a peaceful place even if we do feel a bit like outsiders from a lifestyle perspective. One goal we have each day is to cultivate our wonder and see past the mundane landscapes by looking for the magic in between the moments or to go on an “adventure.” Adventuring, for us, can mean running errands but somewhere in there we’ll find a patch of trees or an old building and let our imaginations create a story. Or we’ll go to a cafe and get lost in our notebooks and creative tools for a pocket of time. It could mean driving down a street that we’ve never been on or going to the spot by the river which we call “the wild wild woods.” The adventure itself is nothing extravagant but there is something very special that happens when you can start finding the extraordinary amidst the ordinary. It makes everything come to life in a new way. And it keeps the heart open to dream and hope and to always believe in magic. ✨
