?Question: do you ever feel unmotivated to workout? ⠀ Because dang flabby jack the rabbit, I’ve had so many of these days. More so than ever in the last few months though. ⠀ ✨Before and during my social media break (~4 months) I’ve been extremely inconsistent with my training. ⠀ ✨Training was faulty because my goals for training rest on the shoulders of self-care. When self-care crumbled, so did everything else. ⠀ ✨Which made training feel so empty. The intentions behind my actions weren’t there. I began “pushing myself” to train, which felt unauthentic and condemning. This does not define healthy for me. So I just stopped all together. ⠀ ✨After taking a break from all things fitness, and re-grounding myself in self-love (took about 2 months honestly - I’m not about quick fixes) was I then able to step back in the gym. My mind was clear, my intentions were present, and training brought meaning and value in my life? ⠀ ✨I know for many people in the fitness industry, not working out frequently is recognized as failing, or “falling off the wagon”. But it’s important to realize that fitness cannot mask or conceal underlying issues in your life. If your mental health is compromised, or if self-care is overlooked, or even if your training isn’t fulfilling you, I think it’s valuable to press pause and do some exploring. ⠀ ✨4 months later and my outlook for training has never been better. I am SO EXCITED to train??I crave the endorphins and how movement honours my body. I respect every fibre of my muscles that allows me to do the things I do. I value rest. I cherish sleep (I am better than I ever was in this department lol?!). And more than anything, I feel aligned with both my mind and body. This defines healthy in my book? ⠀ I hope this can resonate with some of you xo ⠀ #redefinehealth #fitnessmotivation #fightforgrowth #scrunchielife
