Artist-in-residence #AnnaCraycroft has transformed our Fifth Floor Gallery into a stage for creating a stop-motion animation, as well as a resource center filled with writings on personhood and legal rights.
After an object is animated onscreen, no matter how abstract its features, it's hard not to see it as a character. In this way, Craycroft is using animation to examine how we understand nonhuman forms and beings.
