This evening, Edmund de Waal made his Royal Ballet debut designing Wayne McGregor’s new ballet, part of international celebrations of the Leonard Bernstein centenary.

For these "heart-breaking songs of exile", the artist has created "structures for the dancer, places of refuge and pause", and costumes in a spectrum of reds with the fashion designer, Shirin Guild. Read de Waal's piece about the ballet on The Telegraph via the link in our bio.
