Katharina Grosse is the next female artist we are celebrating as part of Women's History Month.

With cardboard and foam rubber stencils, Grosse develops cuts, layers, and perspectival depths, allowing new patterns and procedures to emerge in her paintings.
One of her latest immersive in-situ paintings, "The Horse Trotted Another Couple of Metres, Then It Stopped" is an immersive installation of unprecedented opulence in terms of its sheer range of color, elaborate contouring, and charged atmosphere. Comprising more than 8000 square meters of folded and draped fabric suspended from the ceiling, the public can freely enter and move around within the work. Grosse currently lives and works in Berlin.
