Today we are celebrating Vera Lutter for Women's History Month.
Since the early 1990s, New York-based Lutter has created pinhole-camera photographs of architecture, landscapes, cityscapes, and industrial sites.
Her exhibition “Turning Time,” currently on view at Gagosian Britannia Street, London, comprises two series: one depicting ancient temples in a southern Italian town, and the other a radio telescope at the Max-Planck-Institut für Radioastronomiey in Germany. These studies reflect Lutter’s deep relationship with the forces of time.
Lutter is also currently in residency at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, California. On March 12, Lutter will speak with LACMA CEO and Wallis Annenberg Director, Michael Govan about the ongoing residency at the museum. For more details, follow the links in our bio!
