This view shows just a few of the hundreds of gushing cataracts that make up Iguaçu Falls along the border of Brazil and Argentina. As a natural spectacle it is in its own class; no wonder it inspired the imagination of a film director. The amazing waterfall scenes in the "Black Panther" movie were based on footage captured at Iguaçu. The movie’s visual effects specialists then took it into the realm of fantasy. But Iguacu Falls is 100% real — as long as the water keeps flowing. The Paraná River drains an enormous area in Brazil and Argentina, but its flow is becoming more erratic in this era of climate chaos.
