Many years ago, my uncle built and funded a park in my family’s hometown of Gangneung, South Korea. The park is called “Sa Mo Jung/思母亭”—simply put, it is a park dedicated to mothers. Those familiar may recognize the name from a song off my first album Midnight Menu... This year, my uncle lit the Olympic torch from the center of this park in a traditional Korean hanbok, which is v cool. Uncle’s hat game ?. ??
