Ryujin Falls is near Shirahone Hot Springs in the city of Matsumoto, in Nagano Prefecture. Running water seeps from a shelf of limestone, which gives the waterfall its unique shape. In winter the water gradually freezes as it falls, sometimes in individual droplets near the ground, creating gorgeous icicles in the shape of a dragon’s fangs.
