We hope you're on time this morning, history fans! This watch was a Christmas present given to a D.C. policeman named Thomas Oriani in 1890. The jewelers on his Seventh Street beat gave it to him in appreciation for his keeping a protective eye on their businesses.

The watch movement, the part that makes the watch go, was made by the American Waltham Watch Company of Waltham, Massachusetts.
